AU – Blowing Curls Project

Fun mix I did the other day after weeks of inactivity.  Pretty much sums up the type of stuff I’ve focused on playing out.  Probably will wind up being my “demo.”  Also likely the last thing under the alias “Cupric” since people keep telling me that my given name is perfectly good.  I agree, it’s sorta grown on me.  Enjoy the choons.

 

Here it is kiddies. Entirely created with an Xponent MIDI controller running Torq. No turntables, not CD players, no nothin’. Just me and my music. Click the pic, and enjoy the crunchy goodness.

The CD has about 15 minutes less music than this one. because it wouldn’t all fit on one of those old-school plastic disk thingies. Oh, and it’s mastered slightly differently. Just because.

Just messing around a few months ago, wanted to supplement my wax page with a more aggressive mix. Don’t have a track list, can furnish upon request. This is almost what I’m hoping to play out, but my tracks are moving even further away from progressive toward electro and techhouse. Hope this is enjoyable!

Also have a more laid back mix called “Equilibria” up on WaxDj. Eventually I’ll find better hosting for direct linking of mixes.

This was recorded on a fateful night at the Security Lofts. A last-minute gathering, a bunch of friends, one little loft, a crate full of vinyl, played from front to back, all the way through. We played until the neighbors complained, and they’re a very tolerant bunch.

This is probably the last hurrah for my vinyl. I’ve since switched to all-digital (yeah? so?). Watch for the results, coming soon.

Recorded Xmas Day at Gene and Xian’s.

Starts slow, tries to make you hang on like jumping on a train.

Once you’re onboard, I’m pretty happy with it.

This was recorded in my livingroom, sitting on the floor watching “Equator” on Discovery HD.  Was a nice evening.
